Post-Election Message from Superintendent Wayne Roedel

Dear GPS Students, Parents, Staff & Community Members,

It is always difficult for me to accept a loss, and I am deeply disappointed in the results. I would like the community to know that I am committed to reviewing the outcome in detail and will be reaching out to our school's families and community members to dig deeper to better understand their hopes and dreams for Greenville Public Schools. We will use that information to determine the next steps.

Despite the outcome, Greenville Public Schools remains dedicated to maintaining and enhancing our facilities and educational programs. We are committed to sound budgeting and spending taxpayer funds wisely to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students and staff. We will continue to explore alternative solutions and strategies to address our district's needs.

I look forward to the challenges ahead, hoping to help make the community a strong, vibrant place to live, work, and raise families. We are always stronger together.

Go Jackets!!

Sincerely,

Wayne Roedel
Superintendent

Sinking Fund Millage Proposal - August 6, 2024

Greenville Public Schools is asking voters to consider a 10-year, 1.5-mill sinking fund millage proposal on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. If approved, this proposal will allow Greenville Public Schools to address the following areas of need: school security improvements, infrastructure replacement and upgrades, and technology and transportation replacement.

Please CLICK HERE for essential facts about the sinking fund proposal.

This proposal will NOT increase your millage rate but rather hold it steady after the rate drops from 5.2 mills to 4.7 mills this summer.
