On Monday, November 11 (Veterans Day), Mrs. Mier’s sixth-grade ELA students had the opportunity to meet Senator Rick Outman, who spoke as part of the “Take a Veteran To School Day” program hosted by Spectrum and the History Channel. This national initiative connects veterans from diverse backgrounds with students across the country. Senator Outman, a U.S. Army veteran and member of the Michigan National Guard’s 1073rd Support Maintenance Company in Greenville, shared his experiences and insights, making it a memorable and meaningful learning experience for our students. Spectrum Vice President & Veteran Doug Barrick also spoke to Mrs. Mier's class about his military experience.

SERC partnered with LMCU of Greenville to donate three AEDs to Greenville Public Schools. Two AEDs will be available for outdoor athletics (one near soccer & tennis and one at Legacy Field), and the third will be available at GMS (between the 6th & 7th-grade wings).
