The Greenville Board of Education approved the 2022-2023 GPS District Calendar on Monday, March 14, 2022. A team collaborates to create the calendar each year with representation from board members, support staff, teachers, and administrators.
A few items to note about the coming year:
- The first student day is Monday, August 22, 2022.
- Middle school and high school exams are before the Winter Recess, and the second semester will begin when students return in January. Winter Recess (December 21, 2022-January 3, 2023) continues to be two (2) weeks in length and is predetermined by the Montcalm Area ISD.
- Spring Break will be March 27-31, 2023, and is also predetermined by the Montcalm Area ISD. Please note this is different from what Kent ISD decided, as they are staying with the first full week in April.
- The last student day is currently scheduled for June 2, 2023. The last day of school is variable and based upon unplanned school closures.
- We will have two (2) types of school days: full days and half days. Please note the dismissal time differences found at the bottom corner of the calendar.
