Please take our Survey!

Our school system is strengthened when our community is engaged in shaping the future direction of our schools. Please take a few moments to complete the SURVEY by clicking on the link or using the provided QR code below. This data will help our Board of Education create a comprehensive strategic plan. The survey deadline is Thursday, February 8, 2024.

This past fall, the Board of Education engaged with diverse community members, staff, administration, and students to develop the Greenville Public Schools’ Portrait of a Jacket. The Portrait is a collective vision articulating our community’s aspirations for all GPS students and graduates. Now more than ever, learning experiences must not only provide for the acquisition of rigorous academic content, but they must also be more intentional about fostering problem-solving, communication, adaptability, perseverance, and other 21st-century skills. Often, the skills learned during academic learning are more critical to the success of our students than the actual content they are learning.

Please take a moment to review our finalized Portrait of a Jacket

The Portrait of a Jacket was our first step to frame a new vision for Greenville Public Schools. Now that we have completed our Portrait, the Board of Education will again engage stakeholders to develop our new Strategic Plan, which will guide the district’s decision-making over the next three to five years. The district will conduct multiple stakeholder workshops and administer an extensive survey requesting responses from staff, students, parents, and community members. District teams will also have opportunities to help develop goals and strategies to help make the Portrait of a Jacket a reality.
