2024-2025 GPS District Calendar - APPROVED

A team collaborates to create the calendar each year with representation from board members, support staff, teachers, and administrators. The Greenville Board of Education approved the 2024-2025 GPS District Calendar on Monday, March 11, 2024. 

2024-2025 GPS District Calendar

Here are a few items to note about the coming year:

  • The first student day is Monday, August 19, 2024.  

  • Middle school and high school exams are before the Winter Recess, and the second semester will begin when students return in January.

  • Winter Recess will be December 23, 2024-January 3, 2025, and continues to be two (2) weeks in length. School Resumes on Monday, January 6, 2025.

  • Spring Break will be March 24-28, 2025, and is predetermined by the Montcalm Area ISD.  

  • The last student day is currently scheduled for Friday, May 30, 2025. The last day of school is variable and based upon unplanned school closures. 

  • We will have two (2) types of school days: full days and half days. Please note the dismissal time differences found at the bottom corner of the calendar.  

2025-2026 GPS District Calendar - APPROVED

The Greenville Board of Education approved the 2025-26 District Calendar on Monday, March 10, 2025. The calendar is a collaborative effort with representation from board members, administrators, teachers, parents, and support staff.

2025-2026 GPS District Calendar

Here are a few things to note about the 2025-2026 school year:

  • The first student day is Monday, August 18, 2025.

  • Parent-teacher conferences for elementary and middle school will be held the week of October 29-30. Please review the calendar for specific dates and times. 

  • Middle school and high school exams are before the Winter Recess, and the second semester will begin when students return in January.

  • The Winter Recess will continue to be two (2) weeks long, from December 22, 2025, to January 2, 2026. School resumes on Monday, January 5, 2026.

  • Mid-Winter Break will be Friday, February 13, and Monday, February 16, 2026

  • Spring Break will be April 6-10, 2026, predetermined by the Montcalm Area ISD, with Good Friday being April 3, 2026. 

  • The last student day is currently scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026. However, the last day of school is variable and based on unplanned school closures.

  • Montcalm Area Intermediate School District has switched spring break to a two-year alternating schedule. This schedule will align with Kent County for the 25/26 and 26/27 school years (first full week in April) while aligning with Gratiot and Isabella County for the 27/28 & 28/29 school years (last full week in March).
